After a long and beautiful train ride along the Mediterranean coastline and then north past Mt. Saint Victoire where Cezanne painted near Aix en Provence, I arrived in Paris. It also feels like half the rest of the world is here. My apartment in comfortable, but very, very different from Michael and Timothy’s. More about it later. When I arrived here, there was a refrigerator stuck in the elevator (that goes to the sixth floor apartment where I am staying) and two very embarrassed young men were trying to call Otis Elevator to come make repairs. They carried ALL of my luggage and other small packages up six flights of stairs, I grabbed a shopping bag and set out to find a little grocery store. Have done bare basics shopping so there is coffee for breakfast tomorrow and bread for toast. Had a light supper across the street at a very lovely tea room and when I returned, the elevator was fixed!! I am about to crawl into bed. Among other things, my body is still moving with the train. But….here I am in Paris for the next two weeks.

Just checking in with your travels…..printed some and will carry with me to read about when I’m having relaxing time. Sounds beautiful..so happy you can have a dream vacation at the right time for you.
